The Awarding and Turnover Ceremony of the 28th CoMP Annual Bowling Tourney

The 28th Chamber of Mines of the Philippines Annual Bowling Tournament was concluded last night at the Saisaki Restaurant in Mega Mall, Mandaluyong. Players and guests were given gifts upon registration.


Players and guests indulged themselves to eat-all-you-can crossover buffet of Japanese, Continental, and Filipino dishes from the three restaurants and drink-all-you-can ice tea. Canned beers were also served.


At about 8:00 PM, the program started with a prayer. The awarding and raffling of prizes followed.

Masters Event rules

The Masters Event of the 28th Chamber of Mines of the Philippines Annual Bowling Tournament shall be held tomorrow, October 21. Where? Please click here.

The tentative lists of groupings and qualifiers have been published here. If you are one of the qualifiers, kindly read the following rules for your guidance.

Groupings

The first 36 male players, who have played at least 15 games, are divided into three groups; while, the first 24 female players, who have played at least 12 games, into two groups. The groupings are based on the average at the end of the tournament proper.

The registration period is from1:00 to 1:30 PM. In the event a qualified bowler is absent or late, he/she shall be disqualified. To fill in the vacancy/ies in the upper group, the highest bowler/s from the next group shall be elevated. Then, the reserves shall be called on, based on their average, to fill in the vacancy in the lower group.

The games

The qualifiers shall play 6 games on the designated lanes. The top 5 bowlers in each group shall advance to the stepladder stage:
    Step 1 – The last 3 players shall play a 2-game knock out.
    Step 2 – The winner shall face the number 2 player for another 2-game knock out.
    Step 3 – The winner shall face the number 1 player. He needs to beat the number 1 player twice to win the championship; while, the number 1 player needs to beat him once only.

Cathay Industrial bags the championship

The powerhouse Cathay Industrial nailed the CHAMPIONSHIP of the 28th Chamber of Mines of the Philippines Annual Tenpin Bowling Tournament by beating FAG Bearing Center, 10 - 0.

Lepanto Mining settled as the First Runner Up. Philex Mining and Chamber of Mines/MGB got the Second and Third Runner Ups, respectively.

Lino Diamante, the team captain of Pansun Hardware, grabbed all the male records; while the ladies records are distributed to:
